No, it is pretty dark and dreary today.

What a great question for me today for several reasons. It has been raining here for 3 1/2 days, I have a new silver (almost white) cocker spaniel I am trying to housebreak, and my boyfriend's mother just had to have Hospice called in because of her acute illness. So in so many ways this question is my silver lining. Also... we really needed the rain, I now own Sophie even if she's not potty-trained yet, and 'Mom' is 86, has had a wonderful life and is in no pain. I think Hospice is wonderful and helps the family at least as much as they do the patient. Wow! Lots of silver linings. Thanks for helping me out today.

I actually did find the silver lining in the rather smoky clouds. I stopped by a local assistance center for fire victims to lend a hand for fire victims. They turned me away...too many volunteers. That spirit of helping is the silver lining in the cloud of the smoke-filled sky over San Diego.

Yes.
I was wondering how in the world I was going to afford produce and meat for my kids since the child support check didn't cover a whole heck of alot since it was over a week late...
Since today is the last day of school for me for a month,(I teach in year round) the school lunch lady gave me all the leftover produce-- and it was packaged so I coudl freeze some of it! My kids are set for at least a couple of weeks!
It reminded me that I really am being watched over by some wonderful friends, alot of love and prayer and that we will all be OK.

Yes I did. I'm taking the night off and staying in bed all night with the computer and dogs. That's heaven as corny as it sounds.
