Core 2 Duo *is* a dual core CPU.

As for the former, Intel doesn't market a CPU called "dual core". I'd say someone mis-transcribed Core 2 Duo, but it's impossible to say unless you see a CPU model number or something.

The core 2 duo if you look at the specs. But in reality, I went from a Pentium D 940 which is an extremely low end dual core chip to a Core 2 Duo E6600 which is an extremely high end dual core chip and I didnt notice much difference at all. I use a lot of processor intensive programs like AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Adobe CS3 and the difference between the two is negligable.

probably the core 2 duo 2.4

why?

because the intel dual core is probably referring to the pentium d dual core processor. the pentium d is intel's lowest end dual core processor. the core 2 duo surpasses it by alot.

i think the best processor is the dual core because you can see the specification it has only 3.4 mb of cache and that i think will gain a lot of performance. that's my idea
