Molarity is basically the number of mol over 1L - M=mol/L

example 1,
u are given a substance with 5 mol in a 2.5L bottle.
The molarity of the substance is 5mol/2.5L = 2M (that will be ur answer - M stands for mol/L)

Example 2
16g of oxygen is placed in a 100ml bottle,
- 100ml = 0.1L
- molecular weight of oxygen = 16.00g/mol

First, convert the amount in g into mol using the molecular weight of the substance -- (16g) / (16g/mol) = 1mol

Secondly, if not already done so, convert the amount into Litres (L) -- 100ml * (1L/1000ml) = 0.1L

Finally, calculate molarity by dividing the # of mol by the amount in litres --- 1mol/0.1L = 10M (10mol/L)

molarity is one way to show how concentrated a solution is.

the equation for it is

M = (moles of solute) / (liters of solution)

the solute is the substance being dissolved. for example, if you have salt (NaCl) dissolved in water, the salt is the solute & the water is the solvent. the solution is the whole thing (solute & solvent).

basically, you just need to memorize the equation :)

did you mean POLARITY--like whether poles of a magnet attract or repel? If you meant MOLAR-ity, this is a tooth and ask your dentist.
