What good would it do? I dont see any good coming from confronting the people. Im sorry for your loss. Although he's a private person , these people are probably doing this as a way to celebrate his life and I think it would be wrong to say anything to stop them. People grieve in different ways this may be a way to feel better. I understand your side of it also. MY mom Passed last july also and she hated pictures of herself and any attention . I have pictures of her all over my house, no disrespect intended but that's all I have of her to hold on to besides memories. I dont think she'd be mad at me for having the pictures up. Neither do I think your bestfriend would be mad at his friends for having posters up.

If you feel the need to confront them then do so, but I don't think there's any harm in putting up posters that are remembering your friend. However, since you were his best friend, I would say you knew him the best. Sorry for the loss.

I am very sorry you lost such a good friend. I think you should just live it alone because that is other people's way of remembering him. Just watch carefully on the pictures they put up and see if all of them are acceptable.

It all depends on your heart.
If your heart wants you to leave it alone, then leave it alone....
