That is a interesting question. I believe that telling your spouse i love you and then follow that up with action will show your spouse that you love them and are in love with them. True like the others states that i love you is thrown around like a hot rock but actions always speak louder than words. For example, i tell my spouse i love her and i may follow that up wiht a romatic card, a poem, or we may go out to dinner sor something like that

You know, that is a good question!
People these days throw around the words so casually....sometimes I don't think they even realize what they are saying.
Yes, telling your spouse "I love you" SHOULD definitely mean you are in love with them....but whether people actually mean it this way in reality is another question entirely!

It does to me and my husband, we just came home a week ago from a marriage retreat where we learned the difference of love u to I AM SO IN LOVE WITH U OR I AM CRAZY IN LOVE WITH U...that means when u say i love u say it with passion and say it with tenderness and u will know u are in love with them too...

When I tell my husband that I love him, I mean that I am in love with him. I think that he knows that in other ways too. :)

Telling someone something means nothing. Actions are what counts.
If I told you that i could fly, would that mean that I could? But if you saw me do it, then you would believe.

Think of it this way. When you tell your mom you love her, does it mean that you are in love with her too? Of course not. When you are IN love with some one you say, "I am IN love with you"

No not technically but that's how I feel about my wife. I don't say it as much as I show it.
