Everytime I paint my fingernails, like a day or two later, it starts to peel off. I'm wondering if this is bc I wash my hands alot before changing my baby..or maybe it's just bc I don't put enough coats on them. I usually put two coats. But how many should I put if this is not working?

:-) gotta love polish, you take your time painting your fingernails perfectly and then it chips off. I do this and it always works: first (even if i have on no polish) i swipe all my nails with nail polish remover it takes off any oils on my nails. Then i apply a strengthing base coat. then two THIN coats (thick coats will always chip). then a shine top coat. let each coat dry for like a minute in between, but not any longer then that or it will get clumpy. then make sure to let them dry totally for a half an hour (more if you can) before doing anything to prevent nicks (which always cause chipping). I hope this helps. :-)

Yeah, 2 coats sounds okay. I don't think it's really related to washing your hands too much...what brand do you use? OPI, as recommended above, is fantastic, and I love Chanel - it's the best quality I've found. Do you use a good base and top coat also? They can make a big difference.

Even, if you go to the nail salon, the most they put on your nails, is two coats. Maybe, you need to be a better bottle of nail polish. OPI, is very good.
