I come I don't feel bad for the San Diego people?
They are living the golden life.
Great weather.
hardly ever work.
Maybe if they had something bad. Cold winters.

Do you live here? How the hell would you know what life is like here b/c for most people it is not "golden". We do work and we work very hard. It's expensive to live here so many people work long hours and take mulitple jobs to make ends meet. I make a decent salary but practically live paycheck to paycheck. We do have bad things such as astronomical housing costs, illegals, traffic, ect... This isn't some utopian paradise by any means. I'm sorry that you are so cold hearted and ignorant and have no clue what life is like in San Diego.

1. I can't imagine where you got the idea that San Diegans hardly work. As a matter of fact the unemployment rate in the San Diego area is lower than the nation as a whole so you are pretty wrong there.

2. People from all walks of life lost houses, not just rich ones. But I think a compassionate person would feel bad for anyone losing their home regardless of income. Someone else's loss does not enrich you or make you happier with your own life, trust me.

3. Yes, the weather's good but southern CA has wildfires, earthquakes, landslides, floods, crowded freeways and real estate prices that are highway robbery, so we get our share of bad stuff too, just like everyone else.

First of all, I'm pretty sure you don't know what you're talking about. It's pretty ignorant to say that San Diegans don't work. And secondly, yes, we may be living in an area with great weather but no one deserves to lose their home to something as horrible as these fires. The fact that it doesn't snow in San Diego is hardly a reason to not feel remorse for what some have lost.

There are many that lost their homes and you have to feel some type of sympathy. I understand what you mean though, I saw a lady and her hubby on TV they lost their home, they were excited someone found some of there pictures and returned them. The wife looked like she had just stepped out of a Glamour magazine, and her husband drove a really nice car. For just losing their home, they sure looked nice. I am sure they are staying in a four star hotel while all this is going on.

Some of us are not here by choice ( NY'er stuck here til hubby gets his PhD, and PS I hate the sunshine and the damn beach), and yes, a bunch of snobby rich f**ks from north county did loose their homes and should not rebuild there. Why do you think we don't work? Sure, plenty of spoiled brat kids between 16-25 have never worked an honest day in their lives, but that is a small peanuts compared to the lower income people in the east who lost homes, farms and ranches and have nothing left who actually are hard working motherf**kers who now have no livelihood.
