soft music, a sweet, light snack

not sure why you are having this problem, there's gotta be a hundred different reasons why this happens to people. I think a good long walk before bed can help. I also have some silly mental tricks that I've done, you could try if you're desperate. one is to close my eyes and imagine a flame, just like what comes out of a disposable lighter. Every time another thought intrudes on my ability to sleep, I imagine the thought written on a piece of paper and I then imagine that i'm sticking the paper in the flame. I just continue. Perhaps it's just the eventual boredom factor that allows me to sleep, but it works. The other suggestion I have is equally dumb but effective for me -- I literally spell the word "sleep" forward and backward, forward and backward over and over again. For whatever reason, it has truly helped me. Once again, probably the boredom factor. Good Luck to you.

It could have something to do with the pull of the moon ,, it would be different there then wherever else you were,, and that looner pull is strong ,, and jokingly I say "it will pull your eyes open " but it realy does have a lot of power ,
in a situation like you are in,, relax you won't require as much sleep for a while , just rest and your body will readjust so don't swet it

Well it could be a Sense of insecurity , or you could be very hot depending on weather conditions , I recommend opening windows and having a cold, wet cloth on your stomach etc and that should help you cool down and fall asleep

Exercise and melatonin works for me. But be careful as those pesky vampires might be visiting from Romania. Happy Halloween.

if your not afraid of supplements, grab some melatonin. i take one on nights when i'm stressed (it's not habit forming)
if your like supplements... mmmmmmahhhh then try yoga or warm milk and banana's
