I like it, assuming it goes with your last name. Ivan Smith, sure. Ivan Petrovik, of course. Ivan Murphy? Ivan Farrell? Ivan DeAngelo? Maybe not.

That is a old fashioned name. It is strong and classic. I really don't care for it but if you like it go for it. Let me tell you it could be a lot worse!!

If you're not of eastern European extraction, then I think it's tacky. If you are, then it's a perfectly nice translation of John.
