Im currently in my 2nd year of college and I have to take 4 elective courses. Since I love the entertainment industry, I was considering taking as one of my electives an Acting for TV & Cinema class. I was very shy before but I've come out of my shell since I started college, so shyness is not a problem. The fact that is holding me back is that I've never taken acting lessons before, what if Im not good at all and make a fool out of myself in front of people that think Im not talented?? I really want to try to become an actress, I went to auditions as a little girl so Im not afraid of cameras.

So do it. The worst that can happen is you won't do well and you drop the class. Just think of it as a new adventure and if it doesn't pan out and you want to try something else in the industry try something else that you're good at (writing or directing?). Just know that for most others in these programs, this is not a hobby. It's their first choice career and major. Maybe taking a 'sit back and see how things are in here' attitude is the way to go in the beginning.

I hope you have fun and do well,
Marianne
