I believe it has gone too far. There once was a real need for it, but today, the only thing I see it accomplishing is making people believe they are victims when that is simply not the case.

I believe political correctness makes us more modern. Whenever I'm in a roomful of people talking in politically incorrect ways I feel like I'm in the 1950s. I just keep quiet and turn red.

When people start wanting to call a manhole a "personhole" then it's going to far.

It does have it's place.
But when the majority want something, the pledge or "In God We Trust" on our money...but one self righteous squeaky wheel comes along and rips on it...pc says we must bow to the jerk.
I hate that.

I do....but mostly because it keeps changing --- it's okay to say something one day and the next day things are crazy. Comedians make fun of themselves using the words.....it's not about being mean or anything...it's what we say and not meaning to be mean.
