no he is very much alive but he did spent several weeks in the hospital with stab wounds to the stomach and he had some complications from that but he is now recovered and taping a new season of cheaters.

Just keep talking to her and hanging around her and being there for her in the hard times and she might eventually develop feelings for you. I'm not guaranteeing this would work, but it's the best way to stay close to her and be her friend anyway. Maybe ask her to hang out with you but make sure she doesn't think you're trying to lay a move on her. =]
