It is so annoying how everybody says that a certain type of clothing is "in" like Abercrombie & Fitch or American Eagle.

I mean, their clothes are okay, but they're not great. I think we should be able to wear whatever we want and still be "in".

What do you guys think?

What do you like to wear?

I really dont have a specific brand....everything I wear consists of band shirts and jeans, or button up, long sleeve shirts (sleeves rolled) with and jeans. =)

I like dressing comfortably. Now, Im not saying that Abercrombie, and American Eagle are horrible. They're just not worth going crazy over....I think i have a shirt from American Eagle....I think. Most of the girls at my school shop at those places and Im like...you guys are so BORING! start creating your own style...PLEASE! why do you want to look like everyone else...ya know.
Me and my friends also find awesome stuff at the thrift stores, platos closet, target we like to combine and make what we wear our own..or atleast I do, but I really mainly wear jeans and t-shirts.

I don't wear those brand name clothes and can honestly say that I have never owned any American Eagle, Hollister, or Abercombie and Fitch. I usually wear clothes from Old Navy, Target, or Plato's Closet. (a place where teen girls and boys take their gently used clothes that are "in" and get money for them. There are many different brand names there and a variety of sizes.)

Before school started, i wanted to get a bunch of Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle stuff, but i never did. Once school started, i was so glad that i didn't. Everyone in my school wears that stuff. There's no originality, and it's pretty cliche.

Lol. I totally agree with you, yet I go with the 'in.'

I wear what everyone else does. The preps always pick whats 'in', and it is just easier to wear what they say is cool and avoid teasing. It doesn't hurt, too, that they all have a pretty good eye for nice things, so not many people mind the clothes. Usually, its Abercrombie and Fitch, Aeropostale, Hollister, ect.

I'm a 15 year old guy and I think it goes both ways. Although you can't go wrong with the regular "in" clothes, you can go above and beyond with other clothes. It's nice to see something different than the jeans and preppy top look all the time. mix a fair amount of the in clothes with other clothes you find i guess. i dono anything about fashion but tahts what i like to look at at least.

Dude, people who seriously judge other people on what kind of clothes they're wearing are really really messed up. I think people should wear whatever clothes they're comfortable in. If that's abercrombie&fitch, so be it. if not, so be it also.

A lot of girls wear Abercrombie and such just to show that they have money. I think one should wear anything one likes. I have all kinds of clothes. They vary from abercrombie , holister, to stores one never heard of. Wear what makes you look good. It is not the brand that makes you 'in' , it is the way you look wearing something.

I entirely agree with you.
I wear what I like. Sometimes I even mix and match clothes that my friends says doesn't match with my kind of style. I don't care. It's my way of expressing myself.
People have a lot of ways of expressing theirself. I express myself through hair. I like experimenting styles, then I wear them different and outrageous ways. I wore a sideways ponytail once, and you know what? My friends said that I looked weird with it and why I put my hair that way. I just said, "I like it." I really did.
So to answer your question about clothes:Of course you should wear the clothes you like. I, for one, doesn't think Abercrombie is 'in.' You shouldn't care what other people says about your style. Who cares. Your the only 'you' on this planet and you should be able to step out from all the other people with your own sense of style. You go, girl!
