(Well not REALLY a computer emergency...just hoping that caught your attention!)
I put on these sticky letters to adjust to my french setting on the computer (you know, to add the accents and stuff) and I didn't need it anymore (it was only for Rosetta Stone and I have now finished) so I took them off. WELL...they left this nasty sticky residue and I can't get it off! It just smudges onto the whole key and makes a sticky mess...what can I do to get rid of it? I have a MacBook...

Remember, the letters on your keyboard will easily pop off for cleaning. Put the tip of a small flathead screw driver under one of the keys on the edge, and gently push up with it until it POPs off. Once one is off, the rest should come off pretty easily. Soak them in soap water for a couple of hours and that glue should ball right up when you rub your finger across the top.

Just remember what order to put the keys back on in, and make sure they're good and dry when you do it. It would be wise to unplug the keyboard before you do any of this.

Pam or vegetable oil on a cotton cloth and some elbow grease should take it off.
You could use a solvent like mythal hydrate or nail polish remover but it may strip everything off they keys.

To echo others, you will desire to have learn DBAN till now you used it. yet considering you requested for help, right here you flow: once you get the Ubuntu installer working, choose the "attempt it" instead of "deploy it" button. you will attain a private pc exhibit and from there flow to device > administration > Partition editor. in case you are able to no longer discover it, press Alt+F2 and sort 'gparted' with out costs. From there, you are able to allocate the comprehensive stress to a partition and supply it a filesystem. although, i think in case you purely permit the Ubuntu installer run its direction via finding out on "deploy to entire stress", that is going to create the partition straight away if there's no longer one latest.
