How do you get the Halloween hats on Guild Wars?

You'll get hats on October 31st when Mad King Thorn appears in Lions Arch and Kamadan. He makes you play a little Simon Says game and he'll reward the participants with hats.

Even if you're AFK and don't participate in the games, you'll still receive a hat if your character is in the city at the time.

At least, this was how it worked last year. Everyone is assuming that it will be the same this year.

Haven't played GW in a while, but in the past, you got holiday hats by standing in a certain location in a hub city (the one on a particular map that lets you travel to other expansions). An NPC would appear in the town every 2 hours or so and give the hats to whoever was standing close enough to it.
