I have really heavy periods they really heavy and they last for weeks . So i am goign on birth control what are the negative effect that can happen from goign on birth control

a lot of the "Negative effects" are somewhat mythical.
Yes it can have an effect on moods etc because you're essentially taking in hormones. but if you're starting to feel negative effects you should just go visit your gynecologist and she'll prescribe you a new pill.
the biggest problem I have with the pill is that oestrogen cannot be filtered and therefore it goes into tap water and can mess up ecosystems and is bad for men.
I personally think you should use the pill when you medically NEED it. which is your case. I have basically the same problem as you.
I started the pill 5 months ago...I changed my first one because it was too expensive thats all. I noticed some acne...but then again that can be fixed.
usually the gynecologist will ask you many questions to find the right pill for you.
