I don't understand why you are on birth control after a miscarriage. Your cycles will regulate on their own following the loss of a baby, and you can get pregnant soon after.
But since you've been taking pills to supress ovulation I doubt you can get pregnant tonight.
I'm sorry for your loss.

Okay I'm wondering how your question makes sense..
Did you mean "Getting pregnant five days after starting to take b.c pills" or did you actually mean what you wrote? Because the relation to the question and the explaination of the question definitely clash.
Either way, birth control pills do not truely start working for about a week or so after you start taking them. So yes you could get pregnant tonight if you had sex and have been taking the pill for only 5 days.
Also, why are you on birth control pills if you want to have a baby?
And another question, if you DID infact mean "Getting Pregnant Five Days after MISCARRIAGE?" you sould not be having sex that soon after a miscarriage.

Why are you on birth control pills 5 days after a miscarriage if you want to get pregnant? Am I missing something? I did work a long shift today and my brain is a little tired. . .
**I have never heard of a doctor prescribing birth control pills for the sole purpose of regulating cycles after a miscarriage - especially if a person is wanting to get pregnant again. The perinatologists and OBs I work with recommend letting nature take it's course, the hormones leave the body soon enough if the miscarriage was an early one. But different doc's practice in different ways. Just seems odd to me.

Very unlikely that you will get pregnant 5 days after a miscarriage and also because you are taking birth control pills.

You would increase your chances of getting pregnant if you stop taking the birth control pills. It is possible to get pregnant while on birth control, but that is a smaller possibility.
Sorry to hear about the miscarriage.
Good luck and be blessed!

If she just had a miscarriage, she should take birth control to make sure all the pregnancy hormone is out of her system and to help her cycle normalize.
This soon after your miscarriage, you could still have pregnancy hormone in your system, therefore you won't ovulate and won't get pregnant until you stop the pills (unless you skip some.) My doctor suggested waiting at least 3 mos and taking BCPs during that time, after I had a miscarriage, to make sure that my uterus recovered from my brief pregnancy.
Follow your docs advice, and try to wait to conceive. You may not get pregnant right away, but it is still a good idea to give your body time to recover.
Also, whether you had a D&C or not, you should wait at least 2 weeks to insert anything in your vagina after a miscarriage, to prevent infection.
