Gavin Easton(that's what i'm naming my son) Mason Beckett Clinton Bronx Brooklyn Finley Kinsey(idk that might sound too girly for you) Finn Baxter Grayson Stone Wills Van Dallas Dex Dax Kingston These are some uncommon names that I have heard once. I like Hudson, Ryder, and Jaxxon. I also kinda like Fender, but maybe for a middle name? Hope I helped! Good luck!

YOU might intend it after the guitar, but most hearing it will still think, "Like the car part? That's just weird!" LOL
So I'm afraid I wouldn't use it any more than I would Bumper ... or Seaweed, to borrow another Hairspray character name. ;) And to be fair, when more unusual, informal "names" are used for literary, musical or film characters, it's often safe to assume they're intended to come across as quirky, memorable nicknames. Not the given names chosen by said character's parents. Just as "Scout" from "To Kill a Mockingbird" is properly named Jean Louise. When it's a musical or film in question, however, you generally don't get the background info. But that doesn't make it any more appealing in my mind, if that makes sense.
You might consider something with similar sounds or ties. Fletcher, for sound, or perhaps Hendrix, Martin or Gibson. ;)
Hope that helps.

No, it's a 1, possibly a 2. His name was Fender after the guitar brand.

Well I have 3 fenders in my house and my boys play them all the time. So i don't think i would name my son Fender. I think for a guitar Fender is a great name.

On a scale of 1-10, I guess I'd give it a 7.... I wouldn't use it personally, but it's different, and he won't be in a class with 10 other boys, like all the Jacobs and Aidans and Matthews....
I'm sure eveyone is going to post some blah blah blah about how he'll be teased in school, think about when he's an adult... ignore it. It doesn't matter what your name is, some jerk will think of a way to turn it around somehow... and I think it sounds fine for an adult.

2. I never heard of a person named Fender. The first thing I think of when I read it was a car. And then I thought of the robot named Bender from Futurama.

Only if the parents are obsessed with guitars (in a good way)
That way the son can explain why he got his name and there is a good reason why he was named it
It's ok
