Terry - that is the bad thing about eating with so much bread! I was very messy at first and my sil used the food coloring so my fingertips were always dyed. Nobody in my husbands family eats it with a fork and we all eat couscous with a spoon except my mil and sometimes my sil. We're old school. lol

thin bread is too thin to get the juice-- in the us so many ppl use pita and it is pointless really. I started to use a fork when we only had pita bread. I feel pita bread is for sandwhiches not for juice. My husband was a baker so bread is big in the family.

I had to look up WHAT a tagine is.... lol I found it is both a clay cooking pot AND the food cooked in it (some looks quite yummy!) So, thank you for both educating me and giving me a new dish to try!
PS ... I think I'll use a fork! ;)

Yes, I need a fork, for 2 reasons. 1- I am a bit messy without one and 2- I have to have tight control of my carb intake so I don't eat much bread.

I love tagines! :-))

yes i always eat them with a fork and i capture the juice with my spoon. it's not like couscous where you can eat it with your hands. although only the very skilled can eat couscous by hand.

OMG :-O No way! lol

Even though I don't use as much bread as the average Moroccan I still eat it with my hands.
