When does the world baseball classic start again?

is it every 2 or 4 years?

The next one is in 2009, then after that it will be every 4 years. For some reason there will only be a 3 year gap between the first and second one.

Three years for the first repeat, then reportedly a four-year cycle.

So the next one is in 2009, though exactly when hasn't yet been announced. Overlapping spring training (again) is probable, but it may be moved to after the World Series.
