hello ladies,

i am considering going on b.c. for the first time. i am looking for any recommendations. i know i don't want one that messes up your cycle too much (none of that 4 periods a year crap). any that help with acne and dont cause weight gain would be lovely. of course i will be doing some research, but any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

I've been on Kariva (pill) for almost two years and I've had NO side affects at all with this pill.

I do not recommend depo provera, its horrible to many women.

Well i am on orthro tricyclen lo and it has being working just fine. It really cleaned up my acne with in 2 months completly but I did gain a couple pounds which sucks. The pills have a one week period still but it is lighter than it would be off the pill. I also heard yaz has the shortest periods.

well i think that the mirogina is better because you still have your period at the end of 3 weeks, and then your cycle starts again for 3 weeks and then you have your period. but i came off that and now im on the depo-shot and im spotting every other day so i wouldnt recommend it but then again every b.c is different.

Hope you find one that suits you!

i used to take something like marcett? i cant really remember how to spell it.. its pronounced mar....set. it never gave me pimples. it was really easy to follow. it had the days of the week and the different color pills so you knwo when youre going to be on your period. pretty simple.. white bc pills... yellow period pills.. something like that.

you can also go to your doctor and ask whats the best for you to use because your doctor could suggest something for your body type (according to your history and what not) some times theyll ask you if you have any in mind and you can just say oh your the expert you choose and im sure thell choose the best one for you.
good luck!

The most common and that doesnt harm your body so much is ORTHO-CYCLEN at a low dose.... It helps regulate you, lighten your periods and is a birth control..... That is what I would recomend......
