my sister went to get a shot today and they said she would need to get one soon.

is it a shot on the arm?

I assume you're asking about Gardasil, which is a vaccine to help prevent HPV, the virus that causes most forms of cervical cancer. Yes, it is a shot in the arm just like a flu shot.

Yep and it helps protect you from the four most common strains of it. You have to take 3 shots. You get the first one then 2 months later you get the second one and then 4 months later the third one.

Yeah... all the grade 8 girls had to get it... it wear off in a few years though, and it is 3 needles on your arm. But they are all at different times.

Sounds like she got the NEWLY released vaccine that has not had any long term studies done to it.

You get it on the shoulder IIRC and may not prevent the four forms of cervical cancer it says it will prevent.
