i NEED to wear a tampon for gymnastics cuz i is on my period... but my mom is TOTALLY against it! i go to gymnastics in an hour so i need help fast!!! i dont have an older sis living in the house and i am NOT asking my bro!
last time i wore a pad at gymnastics it was so uncomfy and akward and i was so self concious that it was gonna show... :(
please help me any suggestions???

no they dont have dispensers in the bathrooms at my gym!

ok i had the same problem cuz i dance. i hate dancing with pads but i wear them with the tampon incase of leaking..ok with my mom my mom brought my sister them cuz she had a party a pool party to go to and my mom brought her tampons even she doesnt want use using them. my sis couldnt get them in so she tried the slenders and she said it hurt. so i was laughing at her. then my mom is like jen when u get yours try a tampon. so i did and i got it in nice and comfy and ever since then i could use them. btw my sis is 12

Just ask one of the girls in your gymnastics class or ask your mom for some money and buy one out of the tampon dispenser in the bathroom..

You should wear a tampon, go to the nurse's office and ask for one.
Why is she against you using a tampon? They are great for activity or swimming!
I wore tampons at age 11 when I first started menstruating.

Ask your mom if you can wear one and say that you dont want people to see you pad if by mistake it slips out.
tell her that lots of people wear them for sport
also tell her that it is easyer to do gymnastics
if just keep asking her and tell her you would just wear them for sports and you will take it out right when you get home from gymnastics

The school nurse usually has a supply of pads and tampons - go see her.

Explain to your mom that your pad is uncomfortable and you're afraid you'll leak. Tell her how embarssed and self-consious you are. There are also these new sports tampons, if you wanna mention that. ;)

Quite often there is a vending machine in the ladies room that sells them. Can you dig up some change and see if you can buy one in the ladies room.

Have you told her that it's uncomfortable? Tell her that gymnastics makes it bunch and you're afraid you'll bleed through.

Ask her why she won't let you. Explain to her that it doesn't take your virginity (which is why my friend's mom won't let her use them) and explain to her your concerns and that they are more sensible.
