One of my friends drove home drunk (i begged him not to) and he had a wreck and there was another vehicle involved. This just happened last night so i dont know if the other person is hurt and i dont know if he is either cause he has his phone off. Hes been charged with a DUI a few weeks ago and his past isnt that good. Hes underaged (17) so what would happen to him? Is there a slight chance that he wont get sent off?

Hopefully they will throw the book at him. Victims of worthless drunk drivers like hi usually don't get off easy, he shouldn't either. Hopefully they will lock him up so he can't hurt any other innocent people.

If he was charged with a DUI a few weeks ago there is a fairly good chance he was driving on a suspended license while drunk. And/or on probation or out on bond. That is not good.

He will most likely be looking at time, hope for a juvenile facility, however if he is 17 and a repeat offended that too is unlikely.

You should probably look into hanging out with more responsible people if you ever want to get anywhere in life.

1. Underage drinking a few weeks ago.
2. DUI a few weeks ago.
3. Underage drinking AFTER he got caught once.
4. DUI AFTER he got caught once.
5. Causing an accident while DUI. Perhaps injuring someone seriously.

He has a serious drinking problem and a serious problem with bad judgment. At the very least, he will lose his license for at least 6 months, probably a year, and have to do a ton of community service. If I were the judge, I would send him off for at least 90 to get him sober and give him a wake up call.

An adult would get at least 45 days in jail. If someone was injured he'd be looking at serious prison time. If your underage friend hurt someone in this accident, he'll probably get 6 months in a youth camp.

As a juvenile your friend will most likely get off easier, community service perhaps. One thing is certain he's not gonna be legally getting behind the wheel again until he's probably 21.

He drove drunk and had an accident while he had a DUI charge pending?

He will do time.

He will be riding a bike or gettting a ride from his mommy for the next year or so. Unless this isn't his first DUI arrest, in that case you should get him some KY gelly, its gunna be rough in prison.

A slight one, sure. Suspended sentence to go with his suspended license.

You really are required to take car keys away from anyone who is drunk and planning to drive. You should.
