Stan - Eminem?

In the song the Stan guy says "we should be together" a couple of times. What does he mean by that?

i think because he was so obsessed he meant that they should be together always as in friendship and nothing else in it,even though ive thaught about before aswell,but "stan"had a girlfriend who was pregnant so i dont think it was in a releationship sort of way.

He means they should meet and hang out, and see if they can build an actual platonic friendship. He had a pregnant girlfriend.
