Tell them you're Canadian and you want to be removed from their call list, eh.

You can ask them to remove you from their list. Many districts will have the same numbers so you will get a lot of phone calls and it is legally permitted. Even having Caller ID won't protect you because people call from phone banks that are donated from companies or homes. I think you just need to either not answer the phone or hang up the minute you realize it is an election call. Sorry this doesn't help much but it is something that is a fact of life, unfortunately. (You could, if you choose to go through the effort, get an unlisted phone number and that WILL work.)

If you answer their questions, that specific campaign should stop calling you (especially if you make it clear that your mind is set on a particular candidate, undecided voters sometimes receive fliers or another call / visit). If you refuse to answer the poll though, namely by avoiding it ("I'm eating dinner," "I'm just running out the door," etc), your name won't be taken off the list.

The other option would be to simply ask them to stop. If they continue to call, you could completely flip out.

When I was polling for a candidate last fall there was an option to categorize people as "do not call." Honestly though, I only marked that when the person was polite, never when they became angry.

Edit: For the person above me, if they immediately hang up or simply avoid it, the calls will continue, and odds are it is a different person calling you each time with no idea that you had already been called before. There's really no reason to give the person calling you a hard time, trust me, no one enjoys making those calls.

no longer even no longer vote casting works. My mom hasn't voted in 4 years, simply by fact she died then. The mail and contact in basic terms save coming. i do no longer study direct mail, and getting your telephone quantity replaced are the only solutions i will think of of. Even the do no longer call record won't paintings in this undertaking simply by fact polital and survey calls are exempt. So are charities, even those merchandising some thing.

I say this:
What is your name?
What candidate do you represent?
Okay, I will remember to vote against them.
While I know that the politicians gave themselves an exemption to the Do Not Call Registry, I will not support any candidate that refuses to voluntarily accept the limitations of the list.
Please remove me from your list and do not call this number again. I have made a written note of the date and time of this warning.

When they call, try to sell them something, tell them you have an old lawnmower in the yard and would like to sell it to them.

Usually they will hang up on you.
