Can be from any country, as long as it's good, I prefer subtitles to dubbing. Also, please don't suggest anything too unknown, I'd like it to be available online somehow.

Thanks

The Gods Must Be Crazy (South Africa, 1980)
Amelie (France, 2001)
A Taxing Woman (Japan, 1987)

I believe all three are available as dubbed titles, although "The Gods Must Be Crazy" is in English already.

The Danish movie The Green Butchers .. it's dark comedy.. but it was out there.. I loved it. It can't be that hard to find because the video store I work for has it.. (and it's a tiny one that doesn't have much in the way of stock)

Have you seen the Itaian film "Life is Wonderful"?

It is an Italian Jews last year of life, trying to keep his son from seeing the horrors of the holocaust.

It is funny...and very touching too!
