This is a weakness of yours. You can't stand to be alone inside your head. I'd say, stop distracting yourself and make peace with whatever has you so scared. Make a point of sitting alone and without entertainment for at least an hour per day. I did a year of staring at the wall. Find a way to be self-contained, you'll like life better if you don't need to dash from one entertainment to another.

I am a person who enjoys being alone...for me, it's how I put my day into perspective. Oftentimes when one is engaged in the thick of activities (pleasant or unpleasant, it doesn't matter), stimuli are coming so rapidly there isn't time to savor the nuances present or determine how I really "feel" about them. That's the value of "alone" time for me. For example, after a particularly romantic date where I feel the first buddings of a real connection, I enjoy rewinding the experience in my head and reliving the events. That way I tune in to subtleties I may have glossed over in real time, and I thoroughly dissect everything she said during the date. That's always been very satisfying to me, and the residual benefit is that she is often flattered and impressed that I recall what she expressed so exactly. Still, there is downside...during negative experiences I tend to over-analyze them to my disadvantage, or better said, at times I give things more weight than they deserve.
Next topic (peripherally related): I avoid boredom by recognizing boredom as a state of mind, and an indication that I am not making full use of my time. I am entertained by learning, and I am energized by thinking, so time spent in that manner is time well spent.

Read good books and hang around positive people.
Bored people will not answer bored people.
How can you mix oil and water?
Do the things you enjoy doing alone. I tried learning to play guitar, then I started singing with it. Pretty soon I found friends
love hanging around me. Then, I tried to draw. Some friends and family even bought tools for me to make so I can draw and paint them some.
Then after all is done, I walk at the park, hike. My body started to feel even better because I was chubby before, now I lost weight!
When I was getting sluggish and sleepy, I avoided fast food and prepared ABC (apple, beet and carrot with nuts!)
You will become an irresistible person when you love yourself.
Happy and joyful life to you!
"Enthusiasm makes ordinary people extraordinary."

well go to meetups.com and sign up for things that interest you. Get out and meet other to do them.
Most people like to watch TV/movies or surf the internet. Some like to participate in music or sports or volunteer work. Some keep busy with job. Some spend lots of time with friends hanging out drinking and/or getting high or get out to the park, hike, ride bike, play tennis, etc.
Some people deal with boredom through addictions (e.g. food or drugs or collevting things, etc)/
I don't think people "never" talk to you...that's usually a self-pity blanket statement but I get the gist of what you're saying.
WELL, SIMPLE, DON'T WAIT FOR THEM TO TALK TO YOU, FIND YOUR INTERESTS/PASSIONS AND YOU TALK TO THEM!
Also, what else is there to know about you? If you look like some creepy perv or dangerous thug or homeless person people might avoid you! I don't mean to be mean but these are my observations.
So try to figure out if there's anything else in the way you carry yourself that might keep people away and work on that. There are some image consultants, especially in major cities that can help give you a makeover.
Other than that, get out there and get more involved in what floats your boat.
Good luck!
P.S. also have a boyfriend or girlfriend you get along with is great! Visiting with family and helping your rents out or other relatives or seniors, etc.

Some people like to make accomplishments or achievements during their span. This can only be accomplished with earnest study and practice. Hanging out, getting high, and just having fun, are looser activities!
A mind is a terrible thing to waste!

Read, watch TV, answer questions on here, write a letter or e-mail, do research, listen to music, download music, play online games, play real solitaire, watch movies, exercise, cook, eat, clean, do crossword puzzles.
In MY mind, the questyion is "How can people ever get BORED when there are so many things to DO???"
