recalls on baby stuff when it's Parental Error that caused the problem??

like the damn cold medicine. how much are they giving the kid?!?
the baby seats that help them sit. why arent they watching them so they don't fall out?!?

i think they need to have a parental recall.

I think the recalls do nothing for confidence in what people buy. On the other hand I never gave my children medicine unless it was essential and took care to measure out the right dosage whether it was over the counter or from GP, and supervision is needed with most toys for tinies not just seats and things like that and even then you are lucky to bring them up without at least one scare or so. No one teaches us to be parents, but a lot of it is just plain common sense...

I think with the baby medicine that they should come with a dropper in ml's to be safe. Parents go home and give in teaspoons. Ever seen a teaspoon... two the same? Dangerous, I would blame the manufacturers because when my children were small I would hunt for a dropper. Haven't seen what seat is recalled.

Exactly what I thought! This Bumble seat (or whatever it's called...lol)... who the hell would put a small baby in THAT thing and then set the baby on TOP of a dinner table or counter???

This smacks of Brittany Spears style parenting... all blame and finger pointing and no responsibility!

I dont buy most of that stuff anyhow dear. When Blaine was born he had a crib. Period. No swing, no seat, just Mommy and Daddy. Not even a Playpen. Micah had that stuff only because Riks mom insisted. And Blaine actually learned to walk and crawl earlier because he had more freedom. I think most of it is a waste of money. Much love.

The recalls I keep hearing about are toys that have been made with lead based paint, and that scares me because I don't know of anyway to test for that or prevent buying a lead based paint toy.

I agree, I think the lack of Common Sense in many people today makes it easier to recall the toys!! People need to start thinking for themselves again!!

I totally agree....I think you ought to have to get a license to be a parent....or at least a background check
