Absolutely not. I believe, as Ronald Reagan did, that America is "the last best hope of man on earth".

You know why America is so often criticized? Because we actually do something while other nations timidly stand on the sidelines. It's easy smile smugly about a lack of "mistakes" when you never actually do anything of consequence.

"It is not the critic who counts: not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better.

America has done some good things in the past but it's also made a terrible mess of things in a number of areas as well. They've done that by interfering in the internal politics of other countries. America just can't seem to stop trying to remake the world with regime changes like in Iran with the Sha and like in Chile with Pinochet etc. That's what Vietnam was about and now we have a huge destabilization in Iraq. I don't think that America is necessarily evil but it's just too big and too interfering without realizing the consequences of it's actions on the people that are affected by that interferece.

We have been the "world's police" for a long time. I would say we are in no way a force of evil. Sure, some of the decisions aren't the best, but we seem to look out of the best interests of other countries. Look at all the money we send to other countries during times of need. Remember the sunami? We sent troops along with navy ships to help in the recovery efforts. If you look at the Iraq situation, we have done alot of good things over there. Sure, some things should have been done different, but eventually Iraq will be a free country. We help in many different ways. It just seems most people only look at or remember the negatives.

Yes and all the rest who agree with me should all leave this horrible evil country. We should move to happy places, like Cuba, and get wonderful free healthcare. There is not three socio-economic classes.....everyone is poor. Oh what a paradise it will be. Call me 2moro and I'll pick everyone up and take you all to airport. My number I-800-upyours. Don't call til afternoon cause you know America haters like us rarely work and only depend on govt support.

If the USA is evil , then why aren`t 20,000,000 citizens trying to sneak out , rather than 20,000,000 ILLEGALS sneaking in ? Why don`t Non-Citizens sneak into the countries in the world that aren`t evil , like maybe North Korea , China , Russia , Venezuela , Darfur , Iran , etc. , etc. ??

NO,we are an Honorable Nation,we try to do good in the World,we have made mistakes,but we have saved many lives and freed many too and we give aid to many Nations.

Idealist fantasy world? Sure. We're bad people.

Other real countries? Suddenly we don't look so bad.

Could we do better? Of course.

not at all...listen if it wasnt for america the whole world would be speaking german and japanese.

later on it would have been that the whole world would be communist.

and now its trying to stop the whole world from being muslim.

we also tend to get involved in any situation in which freedom and peace are being disturbed throughout the world...

now tell me, how wrong are we...
