I had tripe (lining of cow's stomach) one time. Julia Child had a show about it, so I tried it. It smelled wonderful and aromatic, but it has a rubberish texture. I didn't care for it, but a friend who has it regularly in Europe loved it. I've also had frog legs and escargot (snails) in French restaurants, and loved them. I normally like almost everything, but tripe is not on the list.

Fried Rattlesnake. In Arizona there was this restaurant where you would get a certificate if you ate some. I tried it and actually liked it. It tasted sort of like fish to me. And it was a little salty.

I have eaten ox tail, frog's legs, and chitterlings, tripe in a soup, Octopus, and even though this isn't really bizarre i have eaten deer before but none of them seem really bizarre to me at all.

Here in our country it's not bizarre but considered a delicacy. Have you tried "BALUT?" It's a boiled duck egg with a developed embryo. We normally eat it with salt and some vinegar.

Just last night I tried a fried quail egg! It was so little and tasted like a regular fried egg, but it just had more flavor.
