I would say it depends on how long your get for leave and how stressful your job is. If you have to lift heavy weights and exercise a lot, you should consult your doctor about when to stop working. If he has given you permission to work, take your leave when you feel like you need rest. Around two or more weeks until your due date. Congratulations.

That is something between you, your employer and your doctor. Most employers won't put you on paid leave until the doc says its necessary. And most doctors won't put you on leave until they feel your job is putting undo stress on you. Some questions to consider are - how long is paid maternity leave? How long is your total leave? (FMLA says 12 weeks for employers with more than 50 employees but that isn't paid time - that is just the amount of time off you can take without fear of losing your job). At 32 weeks you could still have another 8 to 10 weeks to go and then you have to factor in how much time off you'll want after the baby is born. How much time can you afford unpaid? How many weeks does your employer pay for - there is probably a cap at 6 weeks. Check with doctor and HR and then make your decision from there. But otherwise, hang on as long as you can.

You need to discuss this with your doctor.
