okay so im 14 rite about now
and ive been wanting to be a singer since i was like 12 or 11
but idk if i can sing good or not
and none of my friends or family know this
but i find myself obsessed with music
what should i do?
i live in texas..and one day i want to move to new york and california and become very famous
one day when i was watching the mtv music video awards
i told my sister hey look thats goin to be me one day
and all she did was laugh and say yea rite.
how do i do this?

The odds of you being famous are astronomically against you. There is almost no chance for that happening. Not trying to be mean, but 95% of people want to be famous. not even .5% actually make it. You can sing if you like it, but be sure to have other sources of money because singing will not get you a lot. And I live in CA, it's not as glamorous as TV and movies would like you to believe. Millions of people have come here hoping to be the "next big thing" and now they're living on the streets. My advice: Study hard, go to college, and secure a source of income before going after a career in singing.

Start out with practice in your local church singing
in the choir or go all out and sing solo in the your
local church for better performance.
Then later after You gotten pretty good at it
call on some recording companies to let them
hear your demo recording of yourself singing and wait for them to tell You when they will take You.

Do you sing in school? (Choir, etc?) If not, give it a try. Some voices need to be cultivated and guided, so voice lessons would be good in the future..remember, many singers burn out their voices and actually damage them because they are not singing properly. So what if people laugh...follow your dream and good luck!
