Mildrid is unusual... you don't hear anyone named that much anymore, especially with that spelling.
My name is Darcy and I never liked it as a kid. I was never teased about it. I just didn't really care for it. I wished I was Denise back then. Now I don't care. I also didn't like that I could never find personalized stuff in stores with my name on it. Lots of Kathy and Julie, etc. No Darcy. : (

Mildrid is a very old fashioned name, so that could be why people make fun of her. I don't know why people make fun of Darci... I think it is pretty.

They are just names that are hardly used any longer, that's all. Mildrid especially. Darci isn't as bad.

Mildred is kind of horrid. So out of it. I can;t imagine what her parents were thinking. Darci is cute, though I prefer the spelling Darcie or Darcy. As much as I hate Mildred, people have no right to make fun of her for it. They can hate it, but it's not her fault. Just tell her to say that she thinks their names are weird.
