Find 2 consecutive even integers such that twice the smallest is 26 less than 3 times the larger.

Find 3 consecutive integers such that twice the smallest is 12 more than largest.

those are the only problems that i needed help with. thanks so much.

Here is the equation for the first:

2x + 26 = 3(x+2)

Solve for x, and x + 2

For the second:

2x - 12 = x + 2

Solve for x, and x + 1, and x + 2.

1. 20 and 22
20*2=40
22*3=66
66-40=26
2. 14, 15, 16
14*2=28
28-12=16

the answer to your first problem is 23 and 24 the answer to your second question is 14,15,16
