Spending a week in California, in a hotel knowing that 500K people have had to leave the comfort of there homes because of the fires. When I arrived on Monday, the Santa Ana winds were blowing upwards of 80 mph and I couldn't sleep all night it was so loud. On Tuesday they calmed down a little, but still the smell of the smoke was in the air, all over where I am at.
I leave for home on Friday and I can't wait to sleep in my own bed.
So to answer your question, my sense of comfort was lost the second I landed here. But this has been fun!

people thinking or feeling one way about you while acting differently. something is wrong but i can't pinpoint what is. my alarm system is on and it robs me of my sense of comfort. i can feel what they are thinking , but i'm thinking that something is wrong with me so that makes me ill at ease. afterwards, it becomes clear what is really going on.
