No, all referees have to declare their own favourite team to the FA when the sign on and there is no chance they could. Also if there was an opportunity they would most likely decline because they would have to be un biased for the sake of their job which would be incredibly hard and any decision against his team is likely to end up in abuse from his fellow fans so its not a good place to be. Also all wrong decisions would be placed on him as being biased by the opposing team

Why? When have they been caught cheating?
4 Italian club owners were caught asking for a particualr referee in a particular match and their clubs were punished for it.
These club owners have nothing to do with the Italian national side so until you can provide me with proof that the italian national side have cheated I will just beleive that you are either French and still bitter that your team lost fairly (No matter what Matterazzi said Zidane should never of reacted like that he should of let his playing do the talking) or your just an ignorant f**king pr*ck.

WE have to be even and fair. But Yes, maybe as a sanction to some teams caught cheating...

though i don't like em, they are the best european team of all time and second best team after brazil of all time.
at least italians play for italy. france has immigrants playing for them. without zidanne, france would not have beaten brazil twice in the world cup. brazil is the best ever.
@bigbaddoo, materazzi didn't just insult zidanne, he was pulling his jersey like a f@g.
lolz, i have pissed off france and italy supporters.
