I knew a guy in rural Florida whose dad would pick up roadkill to eat. Possums and raccoons and such. Old country folk will eat just about anything that has meat on it.

Yes, there are people in this world that can't afford to walk into a grocery store and buy the processed, pre-butchered, pre-packaged meat.
I've met several people who will take fresh kill from the roadside. Should they waste it just so people like some on here don't get "grossed out"? Its no different than killing an animal by any other weapon.

Now technically, it's not morally objectionable for vegetarians to eat roadkill. Just thought I'd say so.

I live in the country, and this is true. I've seen people stop and pick up a freshly killed deer and toss it into their truck. I've also seen a person take a rabbit off the road. As long as it's fresh, what's the difference.

We have a roadkill restaurant somewhere in this state. I had breakfast there once. I don't think the hash was roadkill?

Here in the UK, it's all legal apparently. Very civilised guy in Middlesex knocked into a deer (by accident), heaved it into passenger seat of his car, and chopped it up and shared it out among friends. Not just abroad they do these weird things, I can tell you. Yes Top Gear did it with a cow too.

We hit a deer a few months ago driving down a back road. We pulled over to make sure the car was okay and the guy behind us stopped and asked if we wanted it (??)
He scooped it off of the road and put it in the back of his truck.

I have heard of some guy hitting a deer in the road once and then putting it in his pickup for later meals. Kinda sick but at least hes not wasteful. haha
