Hi, I am looking at purchasing a Box truck, the only problem is someone hit a tree branch with the very top corner of the box of the truck. It looks to be a 3 ft x 2 ft corner section. And it aluminum. Is it possible to repair this? If so, how? And would it be expensive? Thank you in advance.

Most sections of a box truck or panel truck can be replaced with special rivets...check with a dealer that sells or services them or a bodyshop. The panel itself and any corner bracing may have to be ordered and sometimes can be costly to get a whole section. Salvage yards that specialize in box or panel truck parts may sell a section separately. Aluminum is very hard to reshape once it's damaged as it has a memory or less ductile abilities--- more so than steel. Might run a few hundred to several hundred to fix properly.

Anyone who can weld aluminum can repair the damage by cutting out the damaged part and welding in a new corner section which can be bought from the box body manufacturer. I have no idea how much it would cost>

the cost to repair is going to outnumber the cost of a new box if you replace the alum with new it won't look the same to do a good job it just isn't wort it go to home depot ,Lowe's ,etc 250.00 buys you a new box.
