What's a pretty name for a pretty girl?

I want to change my name. I'm 13 years old. And I don't like my name.

1) I'm thinking of changing it to Selena.
2) What do you guys think? 3) Do you think it's a pretty name?
4) What other names do you find pretty?

I've always found the name Noelle or Natalie to be pretty too =)

I felt the same way you did when I was 13. In my 20s, I adopted my chosen name informally, and at 28, I made it legal.

I'd suggest this: rather than choose a name out of the hat, choose a name that has some connection to your legal identity. Unless your parents agree to a name change now, odds are you'll live with your current name for a few more years. Choosing a better version of that dreaded name makes the transition easier.

You might also consider changing your middle name and keeping your first. I'm J. Verity. My grandmothers called e Jane until they died, and even some of my relatives have forgotten that Verity wasn't originally my middle name.

Your parents gave you your name; are you sure you don't want to hold onto that. Maybe wait until you are a little older to make a decision such as changing your name? Not only that but if you change your name to something that is trendy like Selena you might regret it when the trend changes- remember that.

If you do want to change your name....I don't like Selena it reminds me of Salmanila and therefore e-coli. I like the name Adelaid

If you don't like you name and want to change it that then why are you asking us what is pretty?
I also don't think at 13 you can change your name without your parents ok and since they named you, they probably won't want to change it.
And actually I think Selena is an awful name-sorry
A pretty name in my opinion (you asked for it) would be Isabella/Isabelle/Belle

You do realize that you can't change your first name LEGALLY without your parents permission and you can't change it period without it being well...legal. You also shouldn't refer to yourself as "pretty". I understand that you're young and but it sounds kinda odd.

To answer your question, Selena is an ok name. If you're gonna "change your name" make it something cooler.

I Think that you need to stop for a moment and realize why your parents gave you THAT name. My name is "Martha" and i go by Amanda. Now that im older i realize that my name isnt THAT bad! My fathers moms[my grandma] name was Martha and she died when my father was very young.. so just stop thinking about whats IN NOW and just grow up a little then decide if you still hate your name!

Selena is cute but no mikayla's in any form ,i have a bratty stepchild with this overused trailer park name--- mykayla!! yuck!! no mckenzie either it is ugly,misspelled and over rated!what is your name now? why dont you like it?you are 13 you may change your mind!good luck to you!
