Hi i'm from galway, and even though i dont live there now cause of work, i still think it a great place to live its kinda arty its full of young people cause there is are 2 big uni's and its very safe, its also on the coast and you never more then half a hour from the beach or the countryside (without traffic though which in the centre has to be the worst bit) but the people are friendly and the atlantic air is the best

You again! My son spent a year living in Galway doing a plumbing apprenticeship and my other son's girlfriend went to college there for a while.I've visited often.Galway is a really nice place. It has a year round holiday feel about it and it's rare to hear it getting dissed. It is growing rapidly though which means it's getting more expensive rent wise, house prices etc. Jobs are still pretty plentiful. What you going for this time? They're less laid back in Galway so you might actually get some answers when you enquire about jobs.LOL

Galway's a fun place, pretty relaxed, but it has grown very fast in recent years. I've never lived there but I have spent weekends there.

My sister's husbands parents do and they love it. My sister visits every year and thinks it's a great place too.
