well what happens if a Crazy homeless person holds a knife to your throat and asks for the 1 solution that satisfys both 4y=16x+24, and 87y+3x=12. Youre going to be very thankful you learned it in school arent you!

they are extemely useful in many ways-- its just if you come across them or not
one ex. wolud be
1) You want to rent jet skis. Sun Ski rentals offers u $50/ hour plus $10 up front. While Blue Ski Rentals offers u only $5/hour but $90 up front. Which one would u chose. (depends on how long you want to ski)
u wpould use systems to solve this
