It would be a bit silly to invent a new language now would it not? They have been using English for a long time. Why teach a whole nation a new language?

Why would we need to do that? We revolted because of unfair taxation, laws, etc not because the language was an issue.
In times of crisis like war, or forming new laws, etc. it would be imprudent to go about inventing a new language. It stuck because it was necessary, because the colonies were english speaking.
It has remained with us.

We took a dull language like England's english and made it into something dope. Every culture on this planet uses our "cool" words and phrases that we shortened or made up. Do you feel me?
