They can't feel the love.
It's something kind of special.

People are jealous usually primarily due to their own insecurities, low feelings, negative self-esteem, etc. If a person is comfortable with themselves--they need not be jealous. Some people try to induce others to be jealous--for instance they will flirt with others when their significant other is around! This is usually because they are insecure with themselves--they need reassurance that they are wanted and needed!

It is very easy to keep telling people about your marvellous contacts etc., but people get envious sometimes. So I would advise 'cool it' when you are talking about yourself, and ask them more questions.
The truth is, you may be having a whale of a time, which of course is great (but for only you) Other people sometimes are sick of their lot in life.
You can be bright and breezy and try to cheer them up with telling them about your exploits, but try to tame it down a bit and know when they have heard enough.
Good Luck

You need to get pass them and do what you have to do. Do not give people the satisfaction of knowing that they are getting on your nerves. No matter what you do in life, somebody will have something negative to say. Just live your life the way you want to and leave the jealous one to themselves.

Because jealousy was ingrained into human nature over millions of years of evolution. Jealous people were more likely to get what they want and to breed. Don't blame me, I didn't make the rules.

Sometimes it's hard to just be happy that you know someone who has 'major contacts'. Not everyone is so lucky. There is no need for jealousy. However, jealousy is all around us.
