Pulitzer prize winning author of "Hand and Heart," Prof. Garry Wills, says about 90% of Americans believe in God, not religion. 6% are atheists. That 17% are the religious right.

I do believe that many Americans believe in God but, am not sure how much they act on their faith in their everyday life. I only know how important my faith is to me personally. I believe the candidate that I would vote for would have a value system that is close to mine. I do not believe, in that respect, that Hillary would be the one I would ever vote for. She is deceitful and I do not trust her at all. I don't know how others will vote but I do know that most people opposed to her views and the idea of her as President will do most anything to be sure that it doesn't happen; I believe that it would be best to vote for the Republican party candidate and not for a third party person because that would seriously effect the results of a vote and take from the possibility that someone besides Hillary will win.

The reality is that we are influenced by our faith. Our faith determines how we view certain issues. If the religious right backs a 3rd party member they have pretty much guaranteed a Hillary win. Its that simple. They don't represent a large enough voting block to swing the election.
Since Giuliani wont be the GOP candidate I don't see it as an issue. I honestly think the Mitt Romney is going to win the nomination. Now its simply a matter of whether or not the religious right will back Romney. If they do, then there is a chance he will beat Hillary. If they don't then they are going to be stuck with a Democrat that's opposed to everything they see as important.
In my opinion the choice is simple.

Most Americans have faith.
Many use that faith for the basis of the decisions they make.
It could be said that for them, faith rules their lives.
There is no ONE religion that is in the majority and thanks to the wisdom of our Founding Fathers, we my choose our faith without interference from the Government.
Since there is no Religion in the majority, it cannot be said that any one FAITH rules America, but the accumulative effects of faith most certainly influence the makeup of the the groups we have elected to "rule" our nation.

We will vote for the person who comes the closet to our beliefs and not a party which none do any more. The GOP used to.

I hope they have the wisdom to choose to vote in a manner that will assure Hillary's defeat, not insure her victory.

Uh, no we are not ruled by faith that would be silly. Second, let's hope they do vote for a third party. The religious right can influence an election but not turn one. By voting that way, they would insure a landslide for the democratic party. Go third party invisible sky god worshipers!
