music industry lost its way when digital drum machines became the norm. there is no substitute for some big hairy guy beating hell out of a drum kit. it takes time and commitment to learn an instrument while any burk can press buttons until it makes a passable sound. bring back real bass and lead guitars played and not strummed. bring back singers who have a "range" and not some monotonous drone. some of the best singers in the world are pig ugly! being pretty doesn't mean your any good. And for Pete`s sake stop jigging about like some moronic clone of M. Jackson and move to the feel of the music, not the beat. yes the music industry is self serving drivel only aimed at a tiny minority of human kind, with an over inflated sense of their own importance. from a life long rocker and bass player now 50 yrs old

No, there are so many new bands and up and coming bands that are really good.
There will always be sh*t music that gets alot of attention but you can't focus on that...cause there is so much great stuff out there!
The sh*t stuff doesn't stay for long....look at the jerk who actually had airplay for a few months...William Hung singing "She Bangs"....he had not only airplay BUT was on TV every night.
Don't let the garbage discourage you....the good stuff will always be there.

Rock Bottom is officially defined as Suzi Quatro's backside. THe music industry would be unwise to strike such an icon of Rock history.

I think it hit bottom even before that song. They should let me decide what songs get to be released to the general public.

OMGosh, I sure think so. They so need to rethink the song writing process! Some of these are lemons for sure!
