Who watched the news conference from Southern California minutes ago ?
Pretty damn good wasn't it ?

This disaster has been handled very , very impressively by all those involved . Everybody. . . . including the victims who continue to ask not to be called victims !!

What a difference when a Governor is on top of things and LEADS .
And what a difference in the overall attitudes of the NON VICTIMS !!!

Even the Freeloaders Were Had 'Some' Sense of Honor And Left Qualcomm When Asked To Do So !!

New Orleans -- I hope you had your TV's on today . And I hope Jindahls Election Is A Sign of Better Days and Better Attitudes.

What Did You Folks Think ?

Zardoz - Lebowski - Troublemaker - Time to quit complaining or do you want to make yourselves look like little girls . Ca. evacuated when TOLD to do so ! Big f'in difference !! Angry men get nowhere. . . . You see the world through your cynical eyes
You're a troubled young man I can tell
You've got it all in the palm of your hand
But your hand's wet with sweat and your head needs a rest
And you're fooling yourself if you don't believe it
You're kidding yourself if you don't believe it
How can you be such an angry young man
When your future looks quite bright to me
How can there be such a sinister plan
That could hide such a lamb, such a caring young man

A city that has 40% of the population on some type of "entitlement" program decends into chaos during a catastrophe.
SoCal pulls together and overcomes:"entitlement" rate is 3%.
See the pattern?

VERY well stated. I agree 100%.

Wider Scope...I really appreciate that even though not a Arnold fan, you gave him props...very cool. Also I did read that Barbara Boxer said very positive things about the Gov...whooo...darn near fell off my seat! I NEVER heard her say 1 positive thing...ever!

It's wonderful to see such a horrible event handled with such honor and grace by all.
Refreshing!!!

When Arnold speaks, people listen and he is currently shouting, hustle, Hustle, HUSTLE!

That is what I think.

As a California resident, I am not a fan of Arnie, but obviously, both he AND his wife are very capable of rallying the masses to act - immediately.

They have appeared very well organized throughout this ordeal.

Thank goodness.

Hopefully, Barbara Boxer has her eyes open, is taking notes and learning something about the word 'politician.'

Missed it, but from what I've read and seen so far, there is a 180-degree difference in the way this has been handled and New Orleans, both by the populace and the government.

That said, both are still tragedies, and my heart (and donations) go out to both.

No denying the difference....no denying the reason....

If you are used to a handout, that is what you expect.....

If you have working class ethics, that is what you do.

I, too, am very proud of how the California disaster has been handled, at every level. I hope this will be an example of why the state is more than the "Left" coast.

Conservatives rationalize and think. Liberals let their emotions get in the way.
Republicans have leaders that do a better job..
Democrats have finger pointers who say they could have done better.

Big difference!

I agree with you. Good leadership makes all of the difference in the world. They were warned, they heeded those warnings, their OWN government officials took care of things and the entire situation went very smoothly, considering all things.

The city of Sad Diego is under failures with lost jobs so they had to get it right this time around.

Yeah, I don't see how you can turn this into a "Republican" thing. Ahnold is the most liberal Republican governer since Guiliani.... secondly, southern California is a bastion of liberalness..so those involved were pretty much all on the left side of the spectrum.

To quote - "It's much easier if the people affected were rich and fully insured."

Why yes it is! How about that personal responsibility?

Great job!
