Do the weapons manufacturers know something her anti-war supporters don't? (like her voting record)

Well she is now supported by the same groups (Health Care Insurance & Pharmaceutical) that were able to strike down her reforms on health care and defeated her bill back when Bill Clinton was at the helm, so caving in to Defense contractors isn't exactly a surprising move on her part.

Its how Washington works.
Campaigning requires a lot of money and powerful connections, and Lobbyists have a lot of money and a lot of very powerful connections.
It doesn't matter who wins, weather he/she/it is Republican, Democrat or even "Sea Otter", the Lobbyists get back their investments ten fold when their candidate wins, and one way or the other, the US will wage another war, and another, and another .....
This cycle will never stop as long as we have Private Interest groups and Private lobbies in Washington.

These candidates/parties may differ in their executions, but the end result is essentially the same, and like Gore Vidal once said:
"There is only one party in the United States, the Property Party...and it has two right wings: Republican and Democrat. Republicans are a bit stupider, more rigid, more doctrinaire in their laissez-faire capitalism than the Democrats, who are cuter, prettier, a bit more corrupt - until recently - and more willing than the Republicans to make small adjustments when the poor, the black, the anti-imperialists get out of hand. But, essentially, there is no difference between the two parties."

Hillary Clinton became the second largest recipient in the Senate of health care industry contributions.
"As she runs for re-election to the Senate from New York this year and lays the groundwork for a possible presidential bid in 2008, Mrs. Clinton is receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from doctors, hospitals, drug manufacturers and insurers. Nationwide, she is the No. 2 recipient of donations from the industry, trailing only Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, a member of the Republican leadership." Raymond Hernandez and Robert Pear, "Once an Enemy, Health Industry Warms to Clinton," New York Times, July 12, 2006.

Basically, the short answer to your question is: "Because she is the front runner!"

Didn't you hear her say that she doesn't plan on full troop withdrawal from Iraq until 2013 at the earliest? A vote for Hillary means more money for Defense contractors who want to keep this war going on as long as possible.

do no longer count quantity that win in Indiana yet. Hillary in simple terms has a forty,000 vote lead and that they've not gotten ANY consequences from Lake Co yet. this is Gary Indiana, heavily African American inhabitants and very nearly Obama's back backyard. If Obama gets 60% of the Lake Co vote, he's taking Indiana.

Defense contractors place their bets carefully to make sure they are courting all potential winners. Once the field is set, they will split between dems and repubs.

They also view Hillary as the devil they know.

For 2007, the budget was raised to a total of US$532.8 Billion. Military spending accounts for more than half of the United States' federal discretionary spending.

Does that answer your question?

Hitlary is not, and never has been, anti-war. Hitlary would not bring the troops home, and would probably INCREASE troops solely to make herself look like a strong leader. Image is EVERYTHING to her. Looking like a weak, woman president (which pulling troops out too soon would make her do) is not even in the cards for her.

Ronald...what can she do? Head?

Because they do their homework, and know Clinton started this war on terror, and Hillary isn't going to end it, even if the war in Iraq comes to an end, which still means money in their pockets.
Probably the same reason the owner of FOX news supports her.

Good question. Just like all other large corporations, they know she's on their side and not on the side of the people.

She won't be elected, but if she were to be, those who are ardent supporters of hers would woe the day.

Big companies send money to all of them. She probably gets the most because she will likely get the most votes. People like a winner and don't like to back a loser.
