Why is it that when there is a black on black crime or black on Asian or white crime, nobody talks about it, but when theres a white on black crime its all over the news all the time?Just my opinion but dont hate crimes go all ways? When a white person attacks a black person its a hate crime so why isnt it considered a hate crime when its a black person commiting it? Im not trying to cause friction Im just curious.

And dont even try saying theres no such thing as racist blacks.Ive met plenty of them all throughout Detroit.Plus my cousin is Asian and black people always call him Mexican and harass him. There are more racist black people in this country than any other race and it needs to stop. All of it needs to stop.

It is a double standard for sure as there are many racists blacks, asians, hispanics who target other races. It's not just whites. Every race has within it deviants and only these types of people resort to violence in this manner.

I think instead of worrying about X vs Y, we should really start taking note on the growing number of soulless, unethical and immoral people who walk among us in all shades.

Maybe then we can progress.

That is simple the very idea of “hate Crimes” is a racist law that was established and meant only to protect Black people in America. In Jenna LA, even with all the new and fuss the question was asked “Why weren’t the white kids charged with a hate crime? “ The answer is simple. The white kids didn’t commit a crime. They only openly and freely expressed their point of view. Granted that there view was unpopular, but they have the right to express it. It is not much different then someone burning a flag in this country.

Now when the black kids were charged with attempted murder, not word was said about charging them with a hate crime, even through it was clear that race was a motive in this case.

Crime is already illegal, why do we feel the need to bring race into it? It’s foolishness that propagates hate and keeps races divided.

Unfortunately there is really no justice or balance in our society. It is always either one extreme or another. In the not too distant past, a Black man could go to jail or be killed for just looking at or whistling at a White woman. Crimes that White people committed against Black people went virtually unpunished. Now it would seem that in an attempt to rectify matters, the justice system sometimes swings too far to the other extreme. It is an imperfect system run by imperfect people.

Um, that is not the definition of a hate crime. Just because someone of another race kills somebody, that is NOT a hate crime. A hate crime has to be aggression inspired by HATE. Such as the Rodney King beatings.

The reason you dont see it going other ways, is because it doesn't happen nearly as much. More often than not, it is a member of the white majority that actually HATE crimes a racial minority. Plus there is the whole factor of white privilege and racial class stratification and such.

P.S. Crimes based on sexual orientation cannot be classified as hate crimes. Just FYI.

I dont find that to be true. Black on Black crime gets reported in my community all the time. And so does white on Black, Black on white, White on Latino, Latino on Asian, so forth and so on, hate crimes are racially motivated and most crimes committed against individuals are NOT hate crimes these days. LOL @ceasermoron and his ignorant attempt at being the voice of the NAACP....u dip.....oh I can see by jasmines last comment that she doesnt know what the hell she is talking about. movin on to someone with sense.....

It is a hate crime when race is the reason for the violence. You see, when the white person belongs to an organization like the skinheads, KKK, or Neo-Nazi it isn't hard to point to them as committing a hate crime. There are no hate white people organizations that actually have more than like 20 members...

Media is biased, it gives people what they want to hear, expect to hear, and what drives the most ratings. It's the same with dog attacks-did you know that when a breed bites someone and isn't identified they will automatically claim it's apitbull for the ratings? It's true-It could have been a bull mastiff, a boxer-and those dogs that they can identify-whom are golden retrievers or sheps-they don't bring to the news.
News isn't necessarily truth-it's just on epersons perspective and they get to filter it to their liking.

Black people DO get charged with hate crimes. Where are you getting this info from?

Which is pretty amazing. Blacks even get more time for the same exact crimes commited by whites (& with the same prior criminal history).

It's mostly because the people who cause hate crimes are the worst of any sterotype for a race.

And I believe it's because compared to white people, other races are minorites. Most minorites have groups that they can turn to to back them up, while the majority of white people do not.

That's just my opinion, though. I hope you don't get blasted for asking that question. I wonder about it, too.
