Here's one
We shouldn't help Africa cause it waits till the last minute to do its homework.
Two
Africans would be much better off if they did their own homework several days to a week ahead of time.
Three
Africa is a notorious quagmire of students that do not do thier own homework and then throw some junk together and look like fools at their presentation.

Good luck with your debate!! I'd choose three.

In a debate, you either define, or you are defined.

Who exactly is this "we"? If "we" is some voluntary association of people doing what they want to do with their own money, then you have no business having an opinion over what they want to do.

However, I suspect that "we" is basically "the US Treasury". It's not some amorphous geographic entity, it's not some mass of good-hearted volunteers, it's a bank account that is held IN TRUST for the people of the United States. The terms of that Trust are the US Constitution.

There is NOTHING, not even a stretch of the Preamble nor any emanations from any penumbras that says word one about spending taxpayer dollars on foreign aid. Bear in mind that taxpayer funds are collected by force and compulsion, and at the very least should be used only for purposes that are legitimate under the Constitution.

If "we" means taxpayer dollars, then we shouldn't do it because the Constitution doesn't allow it. Not even if put to a popular vote or passed unanimously in both House and Senate.

If "we" means your local church and the local Rotary Club, have at it.

Because Africa's problems, along with a lot of other countries we give aid to isn't monetary it systemic and all our aid is doing is putting a band-aid on what needs to be a total "internal"
makeover. All of these countries are mired in corruption and incompetence, we have spent trillions of dollars in aid and has the situation gotten any better?, no, why? because their problems are internal, from massive overpopulation to the aforementioned corruption they need to make the changes to truly make a difference, and we can't do that for them.

How about - it was their leaders who tortured and killed all the white farmers which then caused the lack of food - why would anyone want to help these criminals. They will confiscate every bit of aid that is sent.
